I have also read enough potty books to give me potty nightmares, so I thought enough is enough. I'm gonna do this! Here are some of the books I read: The Baby Whisperer, Potty Training in Less Than A Day, Pee, Poop and Potty-training, Teach Yourself Successful Potty Training, but this one, shown below, was my absolute favorite: (Diaper Free Before Three by Jill M. Lekovic, PhD.)
Dr. Jill, if your out there, this book described Owen perfectly, I almost looked for his picture in chapter three! Dr. Jill believes in early training, but also has a system for training after age two which is where I'm at. This book makes so much sense to me, I feel like she plugged her brain into mine. Her pace is great. Her method is clean-cut with no non-sense. Jesse is reading it too and has always been an advocate of early training. Maybe Dallin will be the guinea pig on that approach, but as for now we're a "go" with Owen. No pun intended.

I totally support training early. It may not work for every child but we had great success with Grant. Good luck!
Anna - I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks early training is okay. You'd be surprised how wrong it rubs some people! Side note - Owen is picking it up just fine.
